With dusk the Jewish community began Passover. And today is Maundy Thursday. Of course against all this we are in the midst of the Corona-19 pandemic.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A good time to reflect.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Where does it all come from? To where does it all go? What is meaning and meaninglessness?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>These questions call a poem out of my heart.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I share it knowing our offerings however meager are nonetheless offerings\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is no mere materialism<\/p>\n<p>(we need nothing extra.)<\/p>\n<p>The universe is wondrous and alive.<\/p>\n<p>That is enough.<\/p>\n<p>It is a great dance.<\/p>\n<p>That is enough.<\/p>\n<p>All things creating all things.<\/p>\n<p>Intimate.<\/p>\n<p>Birthing. Living. Suffering. Loving. Dying.<\/p>\n<p>Intimate.<\/p>\n<p>So sad, so lovely.<\/p>\n<p>Does it need to be known?<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n<p>But.<\/p>\n<p>And.<\/p>\n<p>Gloriously.<\/p>\n<p>For no good reason it is known.<\/p>\n<p>By us\u2026<\/p>\n<p>(And who knows who others in this vast universe\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>For us<\/p>\n<p>The mystery of knowing this reality emerges from the human brain.<\/p>\n<p>Three pounds or so of flesh.<\/p>\n<p>Reveals the spirit of all things\u2026<\/p>\n<p>And so<\/p>\n<p>For no reason beyond the blood coursing through our veins\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Feeling the ocean of it all\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Knowing<\/p>\n<p>and so<\/p>\n<p>And so<\/p>\n<p>Singing praises\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Glory\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Gloria\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Sacred?
