In my search for \u201cBuddhist fiction<\/a>,\u201d I asked a wide sampling of American Buddhists\u2014friends, teachers, UU ministers, writers, bloggers, even publishers\u2014what they\u2019d recommend, what they\u2019d been reading. Each, somewhat apologetically, came up with only a few titles. <\/span><\/p>\n

Nowhere did I find a bibliography, or a bookshelf labeled \u201cBuddhist fiction\u201d at a library or bookstore. That may well be because fiction with Buddhist authors, characters, and themes crosses so many already established genres. Clearly, such a list was needed. Here is my start.<\/span><\/p>\n
