\"\"<\/a>Last evening\u2019s memorial service at the edge of the river down from the church was quite moving. Maybe a hundred students, staff & faculty from the school. Cynthia\u2019s all too brief life, her talent as an artist, her attention and grace and dignity all celebrated. Her one terrible decision not ignored. I was able to call the service to order and frame the event and at the end bring a formal dedication of our presence and words to her and to all\u2026<\/p>\n

From there I walked up the hill to First Unitarian where our Benevolent Street sangha was already sitting.<\/p>\n

Fierce silence.<\/p>\n

Dark fire\u2026<\/p>\n

Luminous darkness\u2026<\/p>\n

I\u2019m endlessly grateful, as hard as it can be at times\u2026<\/p>\n
