The sesshin begins at 9:00 pm on Thursday evening, April 25th, and ends at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 28th. If this is your first sesshin with Boundless Way Zen, there will be an orientation session at 8:00 pm on April 25th. This sesshin will be held at the Boundless Way Temple at 1030 Pleasant St. in Worcester.

The total fee for the sesshin is $350. Financial assistance is available, so please do not let money be the reason you can’t attend. We do ask everyone to make some contribution no matter how small. To help us manage our sesshin finances appropriately, we also ask that you let the sesshin registrar know if you’d like to take advantage of our assistance program. For part-time attendance there is no fee for Thursday evening, but the fee is $116 per day for any or all of each remaining day. Preference will be given to full-time attendees. Those requesting part-time attendance will be placed on a waiting list until registration closes the week before sesshin.

Small Print:

The fee schedule and cancellation policy are as follows:

Payment in full is required at the time of registration. If you cancel prior to 4 weeks from the sesshin start date, 100% of your fee will be refunded. If you cancel between 4 weeks and 1 week (7 calendar days) prior to the sesshin start date, 75% of your fee will be refunded. If you cancel fewer than 7 calendar days prior to the sesshin start date, 0% (none) of your fee will be refunded.

Below is a summary of these dates for the Spring sesshin:

Refunded Amount Deadline for cancellation
100% Now – March 28
75% March 29 – April 18
0% After April 18

We realize that there are extenuating circumstances that might prevent you from attending sesshin. After March 28 we provide a 100% refund of your fee only for a death in the family, your illness, or the illness of a close family member for whom you must provide care. If you or someone you must care for becomes ill and you cannot attend sesshin, please notify the registrar as soon as possible.

Important notes: Your place will be secured after both your application has been accepted and your payment have been received. Verbal requests for a sesshin reservation are not accepted. Registration closes one week before sesshin on April 18th. At that time any available openings will be offered to people on the waiting list. We offer easy-to-use online registration. This application is a streamlined and secure process. You may mail your check to the treasurer or use Paypal to pay the registration fee. The link to this online form is below. There are two options for payment – Paypal and personal check. In the online form there is a choice for one or the other (or financial aid). If you choose Paypal, after completing and submitting the application form go to the bottom of the form page. There is a Paypal button which will bring up the payment screen. You do not need to be a member of Paypal to use this payment method. Alternatively, you may choose to send your payment to the address below. Because Paypal charges BoWZ a 2.9% transaction fee, we are passing that fee along to the user. Therefore, the sesshin fee is $350 plus $10.15 for a Paypal transaction, for a total of $360.15. Paying by check requires only the base cost for sesshin, $350. Also, if you request a refund through Paypal, you will receive your refund less the transaction fee. Boundless Way now offers a Retreat Assistance Fund. Donations to this fund can be added to the sesshin total when paying either by check or via Paypal. The payer may add any amount to the base fee in order to donate to the retreat assistance fund. This fund helps defray the costs of sesshin for those who have requested financial aid. If you wish to donate, simply add your donation amount to the base sesshin fee and pay that amount to Paypal or by check. Please note, any amount donated over the registration fee will go to the Retreat Assistance Fund unless you indicate otherwise.

The online form is found at:

http://www.boundlesswayzen.org/Registration/Registration.html

If paying by check, please mail your check to:

Treasurer
Boundless Way Zen
1030 Pleasant Street
Worcester, MA 01602

Registration is limited.
