How sad that so many <\/span><\/span>women don\u2019t know how to enjoy sex and their sexuality.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, I agree. \u00a0Women have had a history of being sexually repressed (and repressed in general) from the beginning of documented time. \u00a0Different cultures have dealt with sexuality in diverse ways, but in general it has had underlying negative tones (many times for religious reasons). \u00a0It\u2019s only been in the past say 50 years that we are beginning to overcome negative sexual perceptions\/myths. And we still have a long way to go. \u00a0Additionally, as part of the \u201csexual revolution\u201d and even women\u2019s rights, the pendulum has at times swung too much in the other direction where sex and sexuality have lost their sacredness (i.e. pornography, casual sex seen as a norm, etc.). \u00a0This only furthers sexual confusion and misperception of what its true purpose and enjoyment are supposed to be about. \u00a0Not only are women greatly affected negatively by this unfortunate history, but so are men. \u00a0The only successful course of action we can take part of to correct these issues is proper education. \u00a0We need to begin with personal education regarding our own sexuality, anatomy and sensuality, being willing to challenge negative sexual perceptions if we have them. \u00a0The next step is to then move on to the very important issue of educating our children correctly about sex and its joint purpose of procreation along with bonding with one\u2019s spouse in an enjoyable fashion. \u00a0The gospel of Jesus Christ, thank goodness, has many teachings that support marriage, sex within the bonds of marriage, and \u201coneness\u201d with one\u2019s spouse. \u00a0This can be a great starting place for many who have negative sexual perceptions due to incorrect or misplaced religious teaching. \u00a0There are also many appropriate resources for women, men and couples to challenge and\/or improve their sex lives and sexual perceptions. \u00a0My hope is that as members of the church, we can reach out in an open and respectful manner regarding this very important topic. \u00a0It is not worth suffering in silence. \u00a0Help is available. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
