Okay, so I was a good girl and got up promptly when the alarm went off this morning.\u00a0 I made a nice suhoor (pre-fast meal) of eggs, turkey bacon, toast, and dates.\u00a0 Yes, I buttered the toast, but no jam.\u00a0 The baby woke up with us, which makes preparing food a challenge.\u00a0 I can\u2019t really trust my drowsy husband to keep track of him because, well, let\u2019s just say Sherif is not terribly effective when he first wakes up (translate:\u00a0 he\u2019s a zombie).\u00a0 So I did suhoor then fajr came in and then Zaid was wide awake so I stayed up with him while everyone else went back to bed.<\/div>\n

Eventually the little monster \u2013 uh, sweetheart \u2013 slept and of course instead of going to sleep myself I went on Facebook.\u00a0 Yeah, pitiful, I know.\u00a0 So I was catching up on Project Conversion<\/a> and my friend Andrew Bowen had written a new blog post<\/a> wherein he challenged Muslims to put our money where our mouth is in regards to feeding the hungry.\u00a0 Go read the post.\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry, I\u2019ll wait\u2026.<\/div>\n
