My husband is Arab.\u00a0 He\u2019s Egyptian, to be precise.\u00a0 He has many good characteristics, but being on time is not one of them.\u00a0 Over the years he has eaten many meals that were old and cold because he told he he\u2019d be home for dinner at early o\u2019clock and then he actually arrived at half past wife ticked off.\u00a0 Even calling him to remind him doesn\u2019t always work.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure many of my friends who are married to Arab guys can sympathize.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m five minutes from home\u201d means he is halfway across town.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m in the car right now\u201d means he\u2019s sitting in a restaurant with five of his buddies smoking shisha.\u00a0 And \u201cI didn\u2019t forget to stop at the store to buy diapers\u201d means \u201cOh, crap, I forgot to stop at the store to buy diapers\u201d.\u00a0 I have dealt with the missed meals and lost grocery lists.\u00a0 Lately though, I\u2019ve had a new ally that helps me to get dinner on the table just as hubby is pulling into the driveway.\u00a0 It\u2019s called the \u201cfind iPhone\u201d app.<\/p>\n
