Dear Imam,<\/p>\n
For the second week in a row, I was able to follow your Khutba at Jummah. \u00a0I was cheering you on when you said that we didn\u2019t have to defend Islam, God would do that himself.<\/p>\n
But then you lost me completely when you said, \u201cSisters, Please do not bring your babies to Jummah.\u201d<\/p>\n
I know that there are old people and cranky brothers who don\u2019t want to hear babies in the prayer.<\/p>\n
I know you said it is distracting when people are trying to decipher your khutba\u2026<\/p>\n
But when you squeeze the women to the back of the prayer hall, and then offer them a balcony area that is less than 1\/2 of the area of the men\u2019s prayer area (and is also used to store the funeral garments and other miscellaneous items,) AND then you tell them, Oh yeah, and your kids are not welcome here either. \u00a0How do you expect to have a full, thriving Mosque?<\/p>\n
