An overwhelming majority of commission members voted to recognize the early days of the apparitions as authentic.\u00a0 \u00a0 Universally, the critics of Medjugorje treat this bit of news as barely relevant. Let me repeat myself: the origins of the Medjugorje apparitions have been determined by a Vatican commission to be supernatural in nature.\u00a0<\/span>
\n <\/span><\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s look at the \u201cOngoing apparitions\u201d which most Medjugorje critics have focused on because \u201cdoubts\u201d of authenticity were part f the commission\u2019s findings according to the the leaked\u00a0 report to Vatican Insider.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The facts:about the ongoing apparitions at Medjugorje all come from Vatican Insider:\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0 Vatican Insider writes:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOn this point, 3 members and 3 experts say there are positive outcomes, 4 members and 3 experts say they are mixed, with a majority of positive, effects and the remaining 3 experts claim there are mixed positive and negative effects. If, in addition to the spiritual fruits, the behaviors of the seers is also taken into account, eight members and four experts believe that an opinion cannot be expressed, while two other members have voted against the supernatural nature of the phenomenon. \u201c<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It\u2019s a little confusing but the truth is 3 members and 3 experts voted on a positive outcome<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 on the ongoing apparitions ..That\u2019s 6 votes in favor.\u00a0 Then 4 members and three experts voted \u201ca mixed with a MAJORITY POSITIVE<\/em><\/strong> effects ..That\u2019s another 7 members voting mixed to positive. That\u2019s 13 members saying positive things<\/strong> about the ongoing apparitions.\u00a0 Only TWO members<\/strong>\u00a0voted\u00a0<\/em>against the supernatural nature of the phenomenon.. Two members.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The conclusions from the experts is they\u00a0 simply are not ready to express an opinion on the ongoing apparitions but most members viewed the events in a positive manner.\u00a0 What Medjugorje critics have trouble understanding is that most folks who believe in Medjugorje do not expect the Pope to say \u201cYes, the visionaries see the Virgin Mary, go to Medjugorje and see for yourself.\u201d\u00a0 This is not going to happen.\u00a0 The Church is being very careful on the subject of ongoing apparitions and Mystic Post completely supports this approach.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the fact the commission viewed the ongoing apparitions in a positive light,\u00a0 leading Medjugorje critic, Church Militant,\u00a0 breathlessly pounced on the fact that a stamp of approval was missing from the Vatican\u2019s conclusions. Church Militant writes:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u201cThe Ruini Report issued earlier this year issued an\u00a0overwhelmingly negative judgment regarding the authenticity of the vast bulk of so-called apparitions<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is a very misleading statement yet much of Catholic media sized on the breathless statement particularly the point that some sort of \u201cnegative judgement\u201d was reached.\u00a0 No negative judgement was reached.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another important fact that critics refuse to acknowledge is that no fraud or hoax as been attached to Medjugorje.\u00a0 Most Medjugorje critics have always believed that Medjugorje was some sort of money making scheme, a fraud, or hoax, yet no evidence of fraud has emerged . This alone is newsworthy in that critics have always believed\u00a0 a hoax was right in front of everybody\u2019s\u00a0 nose. Church Militant particularly\u00a0 has been wrong and irresponsible on making these accusations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Below are the names of the experts and commission members of the Ruini Commission. I publish this here to give the reader an idea of the quality of the investigation into the ongoing events at Medjugorje.\u00a0 \u00a0In contrast to these experts virtually every critic of Medjugorje has done nothing more than cobble together negative information found on the internet put together by cyber trolls.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ruini Commision:\u00a0 From 17 March 2010 to 17 January 2014, a commission chaired by Ruini was set up for the will of Benedict XVI. In addition to the former chairman of the CEI, Cardinals Jozef Tomko, Vinko Pulji\u0107, Josip Bozani\u0107, Juli\u00e1n Herranz and Angelo Amato took part. The psychologist Tony Anatrella, the theologians Pierangelo Sequeri, Franjo Topi\u0107, Mih\u00e1ly Szentm\u00e1rtoni and Nela Ga\u0161par, the Mariologist Salvatore Perrella, the anthropologist Achim Sch\u00fctz, the canonist David Jaeger, the speaker of the causes of the saints Zdzis\u0142aw J\u00f3zef Kijas, the psychologist Mijo Niki\u0107 and the official of the Doctrine of the Faith Krzysztof Nykiel. Their task was to \u201ccollect and examine all the material\u201d about Medjugorje and to present \u201ca detailed report\u201d followed by a vote on the \u201csupernatural nature or not\u201d of the apparitions as well as the most appropriate \u201cpastoral solutions\u201d. The committee met 17 times and screened all documents filed in the Vatican, the parish of Medjugorje and the archives of the secret services of the former Yugoslavia. The commission heard all the seers and witnesses involved, and in April 2012, they carried out an inspection in the village of Herzegovina.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
