I am, like many, on a strange and precarious journey. Sophia<\/a> is my story. The story of my inner self that strangely but eventually manifests itself in my outer life.<\/p>\n

I decided last year to depart everything and embark on this journey. It took every ounce of courage I could muster to make the break. Quick and clean! It was like an escape. But it was certain.<\/p>\n

This Sophia drawing, \u201cClearing<\/em><\/strong>\u201c, is one of my favorites because this most often describes exactly how I\u2019m feeling. I still get the sense that I am hiding in the woods but very close to the edge\u2026 close enough to look out upon the clearing the lies beckoning before me. I know I must cross it. I simply must because my personal mandate is to proceed.<\/p>\n

But there are risks. Always risks! The most threatening one is laying myself bare, exposing more of myself, making myself more vulnerable, being more naked than I already am. The fact is, I already am naked. My choice is: Do I want to take the chance of letting you see more of who I am?<\/p>\n

My hope is always that what I do is helpful to others. I want to be useful to people who need or want help on their personal spiritual journeys. I want to be of service to churches and other spiritual communities that endeavor to do the same.<\/p>\n

So I feel I\u2019ve been granted a beautiful gift. I\u2019ve been blessed with you, my readers, all over the world, who listen in on my journey. Some of you have gladly become my co-travelers. My heart has been expanded along with my horizons. I do not receive this gift lightly. I hold it with tenderness, deep appreciation and respect.<\/p>\n
