Yesterday I posted on Twitter and Facebook \u201cI wish prayer worked!<\/em>\u201d and received quite an overwhelming response that varied between total agreement to theological argument\u2026 one of which this cartoon attempts to portray. <\/p>\n

Not many people picked up the nuances. Maybe my fault. But I claim that any idea that prayer \u201cworks\u201d is magical.<\/p>\n

Some people felt sorry for me because they suspected the post emerged out of my own struggle, and for my desperate plea to be met with such platitudinal posturing seemed, well, inappropriate. But I\u2019m used to it. This seems to be the game I have been entered into to play.<\/p>\n

And I\u2019ll do my best.<\/p>\n
