\u201cThe wind blows where it wills and you can\u2019t tell from where it came or where it goes. So is everyone that\u2019s born of the Spirit\u201d (John 3:8).<\/p>\n

It\u2019s plain and simple. If someone says, \u201cGod is here\u201d, don\u2019t believe them. They\u2019re lying. If someone says, \u201cJesus is here\u201d, don\u2019t believe them. They\u2019re lying. If someone says \u201cThe Spirit is here\u201d, don\u2019t believe them. They\u2019re lying.<\/p>\n

Apparently, God who became Christ who became Spirit cannot and will not be contained within human constructs. Yet almost all the Christian language says otherwise. It\u2019s all an attempt to control the Mystery and control those who believe in it. It\u2019s a way to get your body and your money.<\/p>\n

You do realize, don\u2019t you, that the verse talking about the wind blowing where it wills and you cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes is only implicitly talking about the Spirit? Actually, it is talking about those born of the Spirit. It is talking about you and me. It is telling us that we are uncontrollable and full of wonder ourselves. It is telling us that we are free.\u00a0This is the kind of thing we talk about and encourage one another with at The Lasting Supper<\/a>.<\/p>\n
