Yes, another startup. I\u2019ve planted other churches before. So, here are some of my thoughts about soon starting another church community:<\/p>\n

  1. Sunday night maybe? I don\u2019t want to compete with local churches.<\/li>\n
  2. I miss that kind of fellowship.<\/li>\n
  3. I feel the need to be in the game if I\u2019m going to critique it with integrity.<\/li>\n
  4. Several people have asked me to start one.<\/li>\n
  5. I miss regular study and teaching and serious, lively discussion.<\/li>\n
  6. I want to participate again in the experiment of healthy spiritual community.<\/li>\n
  7. Should I start in my home or another place perceived as more \u201cneutral\u201d?<\/li>\n
  8. Perhaps some music provided that is non-religious.<\/li>\n
  9. Silent prayer.<\/li>\n
  10. Maybe communion to end it?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A couple of years ago I was invited to a small community in Nova Scotia, Canada that I fell in love with. You can read about my experience with this community here<\/a>, here<\/a> and here<\/a>. They would hesitate to call themselves a church, but I think that\u2019s what they are. A healthy one too. Not without its issues and problems, but healthy nonetheless. In the same way, I wouldn\u2019t call what I would be doing a \u201cchurch\u201d. But I believe that\u2019s what it would be.<\/p>\n

    These are just some thoughts. Lots more. I\u2019m feeling more and more urgent about it. So I\u2019m thinking it may happen soon.<\/p>\n

    What are your thoughts? Especially local folks.<\/p>\n
