But that\u2019s what happens when you choose the red pill.<\/p>\n

People misinterpret this as a disrespect of scripture. Not so. In fact, I think it is a deeper respect of scripture to appreciate its fuller meaning, significance and authority.<\/p>\n

I know I know. I studied the bible in order to teach it. I studied Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic so I could do it professionally and well. I was passionate about the bible. But since my departure from a literalist interpretation of it, my passion for it has dramatically increased. But not in a way that would satisfy everybody.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s kind of like the Sabbath: People were not made for the bible, but the bible for people.<\/p>\n
