But the problem with January 1st is it\u2019s only a day. And the problem with us is that our resolutions, no matter how firm, will falter sooner or later. You might have already messed up on a resolution less than a day in! But that\u2019s the great secret about New Year\u2019s Day: it\u2019s everyday. The Bible reveals an ancient truth about our Heavenly Father:<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of the\u00a0Lord<\/span>\u2019s great love\u00a0we are not consumed,\u00a0<\/em><\/span>for his mercies\u00a0never fail.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>They are new every morning;\u00a0<\/span><\/em>great is your faithfulness.<\/em>\u201d Lamentations 3:22-23<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

God\u2019s mercies are new every morning! If you fail, you don\u2019t have to look to next January 1 to start over. If you fail, you don\u2019t have to kick yourself, blaming yourself for squandering your one chance to start over. Behold, today is New Year\u2019s Day!
