It is horrifying on so many levels. Notice too that Bayly is not advocating doing this to his sons, merely his daughter. This is what child abuse looks like in the CPM.<\/em><\/p>\n Not bickering, but fighting. Bickering doesn\u2019t rise\u00a0above the personal, but a good\u00a0fight\u00a0is principled. (Or should be.)<\/p>\n We bicker over who\u2019s pulling the blankets off the other. We fight over how (or whether)\u00a0to stop our Little Empress from manipulating her playmates and younger brothers.<\/p>\n Your dear wife doesn\u2019t think the Little Empress is manipulative, nor does she think it\u2019s worth the pain to deal with it. Time will pass, the Little Empress will get older, and if it still needs dealing with, we can address it then. But as you let your wife have her way, you say to yourself that you know where your Little Empress got it from.<\/p>\n What\u2019s wrong with you! Say \u201cno\u201d to your wife and spank your precious daughter, already.<\/p>\n If you need help to stiffen your resolve, stop and think\u00a0about how\u2026<\/p>\n your daughter\u2019s manipulation\u00a0will harm her\u00a0husband and children in years to come.<\/p>\n Maybe you\u2019ve forgotten that you\u2019re the Dad and your dear wife isn\u2019t the only helpmate in the home?\u00a0You\u2019re to help your wife, also. This is\u00a0why God made you her husband. You are responsible to God for the sanctification of your children and your wife.<\/p>\n So plant your feet, maybe cross your arms, look at your wife, and quietly (or loudly, whichever works better) say to her in a way that indicates this is her authority (which is to say her husband) speaking, \u201cYou and I will no longer tolerate our Little Empress manipulating her playmates and younger brothers.
