<\/a>For well over a year we\u2019ve been running a second Answering \u2018Preparing To Be A Help Meet\u2019 on Sundays, filled with questions by young ladies trying to get ready for marriage. Since we\u2019ve run through many of the questions on their site it\u2019s time to shift Sundays to something else, like perhaps examining the cornucopia of probably fake emails and questions that Michael and Debi Pearl of No Greater Joy post on their website and the possibly poisonous answers they give.<\/span><\/p>\nQuestion and answer may be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n No real question this week. It\u2019s a letter\/email from a young newly married man praising his wife. Which is totally sweet. What is not is Debi Pearl using this letter as a launching pad to give others advice on finding a spouse.<\/p>\n Go to the Sunday and Wednesday evening services of churches that are not your own. Make sure you introduce your smiling self to several older women at the church, because older women usually have sons, and some of those men might not be married. Also, help with the married couple\u2019s events (babysit, etc.), because they all know someone who is looking for a wife and you \u201cseem to be perfect!\u201d If you are musical, then make your gift useful. Holding back is selfish and screams \u201cclosed gate!\u201d Create a nice brochure advertising your desire to clean and decorate houses for special occasions and give it to the older ladies. It doesn\u2019t matter whether you want a job; you will just be leaving your contact information with the ladies when you move on to the next new church. Before you leave, be sure to explain to a couple of the ladies that you need to go to your own church but will always come back around. Plan on dropping in occasionally, because one of the older women might have thought of a fine young man and just wished you were still around.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Looks like she\u2019s recycling parts of her book.<\/p>\n Stay in touch!
