Editor\u2019s note: This is Lori Alexander\u2019s response to an article shared by Dennis Prager titled \u201cStrong Women Should Never Do These Things For a Man\u2026or Anyone Else\u201d<\/a> that was written by Nicole Yi at Pop Sugar. The article does not address the issues of finding a man and getting married, it\u2019s all about not compromising your principals for a man. Lori, predictably, makes it all about how all feminists and strong women are selfish hags that want to make everyone else unhappy and will never marry. I pity the fool, because Lori\u2019s spin is truly foolish, even for a Christian woman. It sounds more like a guidebook for the fictitious world in \u2018The Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u2019 and ideas that might get you abused if you take them to heart.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cFeminism is dedicated to making women unhappy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Change your appearance.<\/strong>\u201cIf your SO (significant other) is a decent human being, they won\u2019t ever force you to alter the way you look for their benefit.\u201d<\/em> As godly women, we will want to change our appearance to please our husband.<\/p>\n

Compromise our passions.<\/strong> \u201cAbsolutely no one should get in the way of your goals. It is your life, after all, and nobody else will regret leaving any dreams behind more than you.\u201d<\/em> As godly women and our husband\u2019s help meet, we are to follow them where ever they go and support their goals. If our goals are lined up with the Word of God, we will marry, bear children, and guide the home while our husband is known in the gates!<\/p>\n

Wait for his approval.<\/strong>\u201cA strong woman plays by her rules and doesn\u2019t sit around for instructions.\u201d<\/em> A godly woman plays by the LORD\u2019s rules and follows her husband\u2019s lead, even being subject to him in everything.<\/p>\n

Let him change who you are.<\/strong>\u201cDon\u2019t change who you are for anyone but yourself.\u201d<\/em> No, change yourself for the Lord which will be more attractive to your husband as you become more loving, kind, generous, gentle, servant-hearted, joyful, meek, and quiet spirited.<\/p>\n

You tell me what kind of a woman most men would want to marry: a selfish and self-centered feminist or a kind, godly woman?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
