A<\/span>ccording to the Layman<\/em><\/strong>, Rev. Beth Sentell, one of co-pastors of the merged congregation, \u201csaid two considerations influenced their decision to sell the church plant to the Islamic Society. First was the amount of money offered, second was the opportunity to engage in interfiath dialogue and friendship.\u201d She and her husband, Dr. Web Sentell, \u201cplan to invite the Islamic congregation and its imam to a church supper where the imam will field questions. Dr. Sentell said, \u2018We worship the same God.'\u201d Co-pastor J. Daniel Hignight was asked \u201cif he would ever seek to lead a member of the Islamic Society to Jesus Christ.\u201d He replied, \u201cI don\u2019t feel a particular need to convert them to Christianity.\u201d<\/p>\n
