R<\/span>emember the Stations of the Cross? One PECUSA parish has given them an update<\/a> \u2014 which includes references to the abuses at Abu Ghraib!<\/p>\n

St Paul\u2019s Episcopal Church on the Green in East Norwalk, Connecticut wanted a new series of paintings depicting the stations of the cross. The press release announcing the dedication of the paintings is headlined: \u201cArt, Religion and Abu Ghraib \u2013 A Connecticut Church Installs Stations of the Cross Referencing the Iraq War and the Prison Abuses at Abu Ghraib<\/a>.\u201d The release goes on to say, \u201cThe resulting paintings combine traditional Christian imagery with references to a year of turmoil in the Middle East, including the war in Iraq and the abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
