\u201cThe only unity pleasing to God, and the only unity we can rightly pray for, is unity in the truth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Even if others have their doubts, Neuhaus said that the Catholic Church is committed to working toward Christian unity. He said that John Paul\u2019s inability to reconcile with the Orthodox Christian churches of Eastern Europe, despite numerous efforts, is the pope\u2019s single greatest disappointment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A<\/span>ntiochian Orthodox Bishop Basil\u2019s mother, Genevieve Essey, fell asleep in the Lord on February 24th. Here\u2019s a beautiful tribute<\/a> from her hometown newspaper. (Note: \u201cBill\u201d is the Bishop). <\/p>\n
