This would have been many moons ago, in the summer of 1982 \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

I was a college kid selling Cable TV in Southern California \u2013 and a coworker\u2019s mom just happened to be on the editorial staff of The Tonight Show. <\/span>So, a friend and I got comp tickets, even a behind the scenes tour!<\/p>\n

I, Ladies and Gentlemen, met The Tonight Show<\/span> producer Freddie Decordova and<\/span> Johnny\u2019s sidekick, Ed McMahon!<\/p>\n

Anyway \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

On that night\u2019s show, Johnny\u2019s guests were tennis star Bjorn Borg and \u2026 wait for it<\/span> \u2026 Paul Tavilla, the world\u2019s greatest grape catcher<\/a>!<\/p>\n
