Our first stop was at the room of a man who was obviously suffering some sort of mouth wound. The doctor motioned for me to enter and, as I did so, I said: \u201cHello, I\u2019m Fr Joseph \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKleesed to eat you; ny nay\u2019yin is k-hjon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHi, John,\u201d I replied, \u201cwhat happened to ya?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGjaoghoamboenvofnbod. Fnofenvefkojnvdjkoafnvkdfajnvdfk. Jvnvdfjkfnvdfaoknvnknvfdonvdafon \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t understand a word he was saying. In my fantasy, I looked back toward the door and the Doc was gone.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeese a kayker, kleese \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA piece of paper? Sure \u2013 here ya go\u201d I handed him a pencil and a piece of paper and he scribbled:<\/p>\n

Pew<\/span>. Prostration<\/span>. Pow<\/span>!<\/p>\n

\u201cYikes!\u201d I said. \u201cSo you went to do a prostration during a Lenten service and forgot there was a pew back in front of you?\u201d<\/p>\n

He nodded.<\/p>\n

In my fantasy, the doctor reappeared and said: \u201cIt\u2019s a common injury this time of year, especially following the Sunday of Orthodoxy Vespers<\/span> where folks visit other parishes that may be appointed differently than their own.\u201d<\/p>\n
