The Goodmen Project<\/strong> put out a call for submissions on \u201cWhat does it mean to be a free man in the 21st century?\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\nCamp Zoe Update \u2013 Former Location of PSG festival<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the post \u201cPagan Spirit Gathering Offering Accessible Camping\u201d<\/a>, I mentioned that PSG was moving from Cape Zoe in Missouri to Stonehouse Park in Inllinois due to the land owner\u2019s alleged drug misconduct. <\/p>\n

When Circle Sanctuary had to move PSG from Camp Zoe in Salem, Missouri, because of it\u2019s closure many Pagans in the area were disappointed. It was an honor to have such a long running festival in the stateClick here for Camp Zoe\u2019s take on the Federal search and closure.<\/a> Click here for the St. Louis Riverfront Times article about Highway Patrol drug search roadblocks on the way to Camp Zoe.<\/a><\/p>\n

PSG is now being held in the much less controversial and more accessible Stonehouse Park near Earlville, Illinois. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Linking News on Thursday, June 21, 2012 reported that Cape Zoe\u2019s owner James Tebeau \u201cpled guilty to one felony count of maintaining drug-involved premises at Camp Zoe where the total amount of illegal drugs sold in the camp during a typical Swagstock festival was approximately $500,000, according to an emailed news release from the United States Attorney\u2019s office in St. Louis.\u201d He has agreed to forfeiting 350 acres of land. <\/p>\n

The radio ads I heard about Swagstock promoted the events as several day long rock festivals. People were also encouraged to set up booths at their camps and sell handmade items.

\nEntertainment<\/strong><\/p>\n

I recently watched the trailer for Hyde Ppark on Hudson<\/a> \u201cThe story of the love affair between FDR and his distant cousin Margaret Stuckley, centered around the weekend in 1939 when the King and Queen of the United Kingdom visited upstate New York.\u201d (IMDB) It stars Bill Murry as FDR and Laura Linney as Margaret. I was more interested though in the relationship that developed between FDR and the King George VI of the UK. FDR was paralyzed from the waste down and George had a speech impediment. Both of them had the challenge of having disabilities and running their countries and keeping up their citizens moral during WWII and a depression. The movie will be released in December.<\/p>\n
