<\/a>My sons and I have been watching our way through the three Star Wars prequels (insert Jar Jar Binks jokes here), as a way to get excited for the new film. For a\u00a0couple of hours after every movie my kids and I end up inverting our sentence structures to mimic the way Yoda speaks. The other night\u00a0I was reading some Merton & realized that if you invert the sentence structure of famous Thomas Merton sayings, it sounds an awful lot like Yoda. Or maybe I should say, if invert the structure of his sentences you do; sounds like Yoda, Merton does.<\/em><\/p>\nI was trying to come up with a name for the amalgam \u2013 Yerton\u2026 Moda\u2026 nothing seems quite right. Nevertheless, here are a few of my favorites:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe mark of spiritual insecurity, anxiety is.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\u201cThe most heroic labor and the most difficult sacrifice, peace demands.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
\u201cT<\/span>he path to faith reason is;\u00a0when reason can say no more, takes over faith does.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
