What I find out there typically ranges from the choose your own adventure type, the Mr. Magoo extreme, or the Manpaks.com extreme \u2013 which is better, but can get kind of raunchy &amp; hardly touches on spirituality. My friend Jovan Brown has a pretty cool blog called <a href=\"http:\/\/towardfatherhood.com\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Toward Fatherhood<\/a>, which seems to be able to strike a pretty good balance. Jovan is blogging his way through parenting, fatherhood, marriage, career, and so on in a pretty honest and humble way\u2026 check it out if you are interested.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s an excerpt from a <a href=\"http:\/\/towardfatherhood.com\/post\/30384865540\/love-like-a-child\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">recent post<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Love for a spouse,\u00a0on the other hand, seems to comes with so many conditions. Promises were spoken. Arrangements and compromises have been made. He should grow up a little. And she should know better. He\u2019s a grown man, for cryin\u2019 out loud! And she\u2019s just inconsiderate. Expectations are disappointed, one after another. Chores are divided. Each party has to pull their weight. Payback and parity become central, and soon enough all we can see is the imaginary scale that weighs \u201chow much time he spends with the guys,\u201d versus \u201chow much she\u2019s spending on new clothes and makeup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But what if\u2026\u00a0we could love our spouses\u2026like we love our children? What if loving a child really is the easy stuff\u2026and being an ideal spouse is indeed something akin to being a parent? What if, having learned to love a child, loving a spouse became\u2026more like\u00a0<em>the easy part?<\/em>\u00a0Could you love your spouse 100% today \u2013 totally free of expectations \u2013 and trust that tomorrow will arrive in time, with a new, fresh bundle of love to share?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Great sites for men to talk about being a husband and father are kind of hard to find.
