This was especially refreshing this week! I wasn\u2019t feeling like much had happened this week until I was trying to think of my Small Successes. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Deep cleaned both bathrooms including the showers. <\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> I made up this meal and my kids love it. Filling for my hubby, lots of fiber for me (that\u2019s a long story) and my kids eat 3 helpings each. And<\/em> easy on the budget. I\u2019d call that a success. It doesn\u2019t really have a name, lets just call it <\/p>\n

Sausage and Beans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Around noon (at least that\u2019s usually when I remember to do it!) throw like 2 cups of dry kidney beans and 1 cup of dry black beans<\/em> into a small crock-pot, cover with water and put on high.
In the evening chop up and fry 1\/2 pound of hot Italian Sausage <\/em>and 1 onion <\/em>in a large pot. Add 1-28 oz. can Diced Tomatoes<\/em>, 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce<\/em>, 3 Tablespoons brown sugar <\/em>and simmer for a few minutes. Add some salt and pepper<\/em>. Add the cooked beans and simmer and stir until it thickens a bit.
Serve hot over rice<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This recipe serves a lot (we like leftovers), and the measurements are approximate since I never measure anything.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong>Trying to somehow stay on top of laundry and dishes even though we\u2019ve been feeling sick with sore throats and just feeling achey in general. (All I really want to do is poke around on the computer.) I\u2019m not quite completely caught up, but I haven\u2019t given up yet.<\/p>\n
