<\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>Yes they were eloquent and delivered with conviction, but the three invocations (opening prayers) and three benedictions (closing prayers) offered at the presidential inauguration were egregiously Christian.<\/em><\/h4>\nSure, we had our token female minister, Paula White-Cain of Florida\u2019s New Destiny Christian Center, and Rabbi Marvin Hier,\u00a0dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center \u2013 but come on!\u00a0<\/em>Five Christian clergy, most of whom asserted the supreme lordship of Jesus? How inclusive and ecumenically sensitive was that?<\/p>\nThe Agenda?<\/strong><\/p>\nLet\u2019s see . . with three publicly anti-LGBT clergy \u2013 namely Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Rev. Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, and Rev. Franklin Graham (Billy\u2019s son) \u2013 and a preacher of the \u201cprosperity gospel\u201d (White-Cain), one could judiciously speculate a Supremacist Christian right\/wealthy elite agenda.<\/p>\nBut let\u2019s not politicize the \u201cnice\u201d prayers and clergy choices for the presidential inauguration.<\/p>\nOh sorry, I just did.<\/p>\nThe Missing Ministers?<\/strong><\/p>\nHmmm . . . If I\u2019m not mistaken I think there are a few mosques and <a href='https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/library\/buddhism' target='_blank'>Buddhist<\/a> temples scattered around the U.S.<\/p>\nAnd where were their clergy representatives?
