Christian TV Host Claims His Prayers Kept Hurricane Dorian Away From Florida

Christian TV Host Claims His Prayers Kept Hurricane Dorian Away From Florida September 5, 2019

Thoughts and Prayers: Conservative Christian TV Host Rick Wiles claims God told him to pray Hurricane Dorian away from Florida, and when he prayed, the hurricane obeyed him.

Wiles took credit for the fact that Dorian did not hit Florida On his TruNews broadcast earlier this week.

On the program Wiles said:

As all of us listened last Friday to news reports and read online weather forecasts about the approaching category 5 hurricane, the Holy Spirit peacefully encouraged me to speak to Hurricane Dorian in the name of Jesus Christ.

Wiles continued:

I called it my ‘faith forecast.’ I anointed our building and our home with oil. I made the sign of the cross with the oil, I proclaimed protection in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Wiles concluded:

The Lord encouraged me to speak specifically to the storm: ‘What do you want it to do?’ I want that storm to turn and go northward. I want it to stay away from the coast. I want it to weaken. I want it to go out into the northern Atlantic and disappear. So, when I got up this morning and saw the hurricane path forecast, I just smiled at 4am and said, ‘Thank you Jesus.’

One wonders if Wiles said “Thank you Jesus” for the death and destruction Hurricane Dorian brought to the Bahamas.

Probably not.

Wiles is not the only charlatan claiming that their prayers altered the course of Hurricane Dorian. Earlier this week, Democratic presidential candidate and snake oil saleswoman Marianne Williamson claimed that the “power of mind” altered the course of Hurricane Dorian.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right…

As for Wiles, he is a popular but controversial conservative Christian leader prone to making outrageous and idiotic claims.

For example, last October, right before the 2018 midterm elections, Wiles warned his viewers that if Democrats won the election they would slaughter “tens of thousands of Christians.” Yet even though the Democrats did win the House in the midterm election, as of today, there have been no reports of Christians being slaughtered.

Another example of Wiles being a conservative Christian idiot: Last summer the Christian TV host  warned his followers that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow was preparing to lead a bloody coup to overthrow the Trump administration. Wiles, commenting on a Maddow segment in which the MSNBC host argued that the U.S. must prepare for “the worst case scenario that Trump is compromised by Russia,” declared:

America, you’ve been homosexualized. You’ve been Jewdy-ized. I’m just telling it how it is. She (Maddow) was spewing out, last night, calls for revolution. She was telling the left, ‘Take a deep breath, we’re at the moment, it’s coming, we’re almost there, we’re going to remove him from the White House.’ We’re about 72 hours — possibly 72 hours — from a coup.

Be prepared that you’re going to turn on the television and see helicopters hovering over the roof of the White House with men clad in black rappelling down ropes, entering into the White House. Be prepared for a shoot out in the White House as Secret Service agents shoot commandos coming in to arrest President Trump.

That is how close we are to a revolution. Be prepared for a mob — a leftist mob — to tear down the gates, the fence at the White House and to go into the White House and to drag him out with his family and decapitate them on the lawn of the White House.

Needless to say, Maddow did not lead a bloody coup, to the great disappointment of many.

Bottom line: Conservative Christian TV Host Rick Wiles claims God told him to pray Hurricane Dorian away from Florida, and when he prayed, the hurricane obeyed him.
