Christian terror? In a grisly murder an Oklahoma college student with strong Christian beliefs nearly decapitates a young man because the victim practiced witchcraft.<\/p>\n

Isaiah Zoar Marin, 21, is charged with first-degree murder for the killing of Jacob Andrew Crockett, 19. Marin is accused<\/a> of using a \u201clong knife or sword\u201d to kill Crockett.<\/p>\n

According to a court affidavit, the suspect, Marin, is described<\/a> as a \u201creligious zealot\u201d and \u201cheavy drug user.\u201d<\/p>\n

The victim, Crockett, is the son of an Oklahoma state trooper.<\/p>\n

Police report<\/a> the victim had what appeared to be multiple deep slash and stab wounds and the \u201chead was mostly severed from his body.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marin was watching<\/a> videos on YouTube \u201crelated to his Christian beliefs and the Book of Matthew\u201d before the murder, according to the affidavit.<\/p>\n

The document also notes<\/a> that Marin had feuded with Crockett in the past because the victim was practicing witchcraft.<\/p>\n

The defendant\u2019s brother, Samuel Marin, said \u201cin the past Jacob and Isaiah had disagreements\u201d because Jacob had been\u201d practicing witchcraft and Isaiah had strong Christian beliefs,\u201d a Stillwater police officer reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Police say the two men were \u201cacquaintances\u201d and Crockett was attending class at Northern Oklahoma College, but was planning to transfer to OSU.<\/p>\n

Marin\u2019s Facebook page features many posts professing his love for God, with the latest public post being on Aug. 8 of this year. The post reads<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Tried to take on a demon and God had to help me through the tough parts. Got to be careful with my words and pay closer attention to my emotions. Need to figure out how to keep on speaking when I\u2019m with the presence of the Lord God.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to the affidavit, Marin told<\/a> police, \u201cI murdered someone\u201d and was \u201crambling about sacrificing and magic.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a news conference Stillwater police Capt. Randy Dickerson emphasized<\/a> that the case is not related to recent cases of beheadings by Islamic extremists.<\/p>\n

Instead of Islamic extremism, the case appears to be about Christian extremism fueled by methamphetamine.<\/p>\n

Marin remains<\/a> in custody without bond and has a court appearance set for 9 a.m. Dec. 1.<\/p>\n

A Facebook page, RIP Jacob Crockett<\/a>, was created early Thursday and includes several photos of the victim with his heavy metal band as well as posts from friends and supporters.<\/p>\n
