This is an update to our post<\/a> on Father Frank Pavone\u2019s \u201cFather Frank, Live!\u201d video on Facebook. We have reached out to Priests for Life, the Diocese of Amarillo, and the USCCB for comments on various aspects of the video. Since Father Frank Pavone is a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, we\u2019ve reached out to them for comments, as well.<\/p>\n

I asked Priests for Life today:<\/p>\n

Could you clarify as to whether Father Frank had the actual remains of a child on the altar in yesterday\u2019s video or if it was an image\/picture?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A representative of Priests for Life responded:<\/p>\n

I asked for greater clarity:<\/p>\n

Do you know if the video contains actual human remains or an image of human remains? Even in HD it was difficult to be sure simply by watching the video.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The same representative of Priests for Life responded with:<\/p>\n

Listen to it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Are we to believe that Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life would use the physical remains of a child in his Facebook Live video?<\/p>\n

Since I couldn\u2019t get very far with Priests for Life, here are some lines from the video<\/a>\u00a0for your consideration:<\/p>\n

In the beginning of the video, we hear Father Frank say,\u00a0Here before me lies a baby, killed by abortion in the second trimester of pregnancy\u2026 A baby whose body was entrusted to us for burial. This baby rests in a nearby memorial chapel. But today we are going to pray with this baby, and we\u2019re going to let this baby\u2019s body bear witness to our nation as we begin the process to elect our next president\u2026\u201d. Father also referred to, \u201cThe testimony of the life of this child\u201d while pointing to (the image of) the child. In another area of the video, he said, \u201cI am showing you this baby here today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Towards the end of the video, Father Frank prays, \u201cLord, give rest to this child and we commend him to your hands \u2026
\n\u2026Children like this\u2026\u201d pointing to (the image of) the child, again.<\/p>\n

If this is all we have to go off of, that is, given what Father Frank says in the video and what Priests for Life\u2019s representative commented, then I suppose we are asked to believe that Father Frank may have the physical remains of a child on an altar in front of him. I hope that this is not true.<\/p>\n

In our previous post<\/a>, we called this the \u201cFather Frank, Live!\u201d show. We also asked you to watch the last minute of the episode.<\/p>\n

Towards the very end of the episode, the commodification of human life is on full display:<\/p>\n
