Bishop Twists Pope Leo’s Words in Attempt to Defend Trump

Bishop Twists Pope Leo’s Words in Attempt to Defend Trump 2026-04-07T13:58:49-06:00

@Vatican Media

I recently came across a video by Fr Thady Doyle of God’s Cottage Prayer Center in Glendalough Ireland. The video included an audio of one America’s bishops telling a group of Catholics that Pope Leo wasn’t talking about Trump and the Iran War when he criticized leaders who make war.

Here is the video with the priest’s comments.

Trump is waging a war which he himself has told us is for the purpose of taking control of the Strait of Hormuz and seizing Iranian oil because “to the winners go the spoils.”

Only two world leaders are waging this war: Trump and Netanyahu.

Pope Leo has expressly and repeatedly spoken of the Middle East in his remarks about war.

Pope Leo has repeatedly, consistently spoken out against the violence and suffering of this war, and he has repeatedly and directly addressed sins that Trump has committed publicly such as using God’s name to justify the killing.

So, if Pope Leo is not talking about Trump and the Iran War, what mysterious person in what mysterious war is he talking about?

Pope says Trump’s threat to destroy Iranian civilization is ‘unacceptable’

Pope Leo’s Way of the Cross says leaders ‘will have to answer to God’ for starting war

Note: I’ve seen the so-called White House Easter service the priest in the video above references. It’s much worse when taken as a whole than the section this priest shows would make it seem. This was not an “Easter” service. It was a worship of Trump service. I haven’t decided if I’ll write about it here or not. This White House event perverted the message of Easter into an idolatrous worship service of an evil man. I don’t want to expose vulnerable people to that by broadcasting it.
