But beating up a woman?<\/p>\n

Not so much.<\/p>\n

After months of dithering about the Ray Rice fianc\u00e9 beating scandal the Ravens have finally terminated his contract. This follows the NFL\u2019s earlier defense<\/a> of a two-game suspension of the running back and a standing ovation of support<\/a>\u00a0for him from fans. Ray Rice fans also lit up twitter with their supportive messages.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

His fianc\u00e9 even went ahead and married Mr Rice six weeks after he knocked her out.<\/p>\n

If it hadn\u2019t been for TMZ, that\u2019s where the story would have ended, with another woman playing maso to some guy\u2019s sado and all the good old boys giving him back-slapping high-fives for his behavior.<\/p>\n

Misogyny is not a problem of one group of people or one set of beliefs. Misogyny is a human problem. It has everything to do with letting the biggest and the meanest make all the rules and nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with true manliness or human decency.<\/p>\n

Real men don\u2019t hit women.<\/p>\n

In fairness to Mrs Rice, she probably does not remember what her husband did to her. She may not remember anything that happened that day, or that week.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no doubt that men are stronger than women. God made them that way for a purpose and that purpose is not to beat and batter their families. It is to protect and provide for their families.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m glad the Ravens\u00a0were finally forced to do what they should have done the first day. I wonder if the fans who gave Mr Rice and standing ovation and who sent those supportive tweets are re-thinking their own behavior?<\/p>\n

This is what a two game suspension looks like \u2014\u00a0Ray Rice<\/span>\u00a0delivering a vicious punch to his fiancee\u2019s face, knocking her out cold \u2026 and\u00a0TMZ Sports<\/span>\u00a0has the shocking video.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve already shown you\u00a0the aftermath<\/span><\/a>\u00a0outside the elevator \u2026 Rice dragging the unconscious woman on the floor. \u00a0But we\u2019ve now obtained video of the punch that put her down, raising the question \u2026 What was the NFL thinking when it wrist-slapped Rice with such feeble punishment?<\/p>\n

The incident took place Feb. 15th at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City \u2014 after Ray and then-fiancee (now wife)\u00a0Janay Palmer<\/span>\u00a0got into a heated argument on their way into the elevator.<\/p>\n

Inside the elevator it\u2019s apparent he strikes first \u2026 she hits back \u2026 and then Rice delivers the knockout blow.<\/p>\n

The punch knocks Janay off her feet \u2014 and she smashes her head on the elevator hand rail \u2026 knocking her out cold. Ray doesn\u2019t seem phased \u2026 and when the door opens, he drags her out into the hotel.\u00a0<\/span>

An employee of the hotel \u00a0\u2014\u00a0<\/span>which just shut down for good<\/a>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0<\/span>tells TMZ Sports he was working there at the time and says the NFL saw the elevator footage before imposing the 2-game suspension.<\/span><\/p>\n
