Pro Life is Pro Science.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/39683\/are-you-ready-for-the-march-for-life-organizers-announce-2019-theme\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">CNA<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The theme of the 2019 March for Life will be \u201cUnique From Day One: Pro-Life is Pro-Science,\u201d March for Life President Jeanne Mancini announced at an event on Capitol Hill on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The theme was chosen as science is inherently pro-life, Mancini explained Oct. 18. Science has continued to \u201creaffirm the scientific fact, and the truth, that life begins at fertilization\/conception.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur DNA is present at the moment of fertilization, and no fingerprint, ever\u2013past, present, future\u2013is like yours. And that\u2019s what it means to be unique from day one,\u201d said Mancini.<\/p>\n<p>She pointed out that \u201csociety often ignores or tries to block these facts,\u201d and reminded the crowd that in 2008, then-candidate Barack Obama refused to provide an answer when asked when he believed life began, saying it was \u201cabove his pay grade\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mancini said that while remarks like these provide \u201ccover\u201d for someone who is in favor of abortion rights, \u201cscientifically, it\u2019s not factual.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fetal development, she said, is \u201castonishing.\u201d She noted that the heart begins to beat just three weeks after fertilization, and that the fetus is capable of movement at eight weeks. At 13 weeks, the fetus has fingerprints, \u201cjust like our logo.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you ready for the March for Life?
