Earlier today, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 to strike down section three of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), expanding the federal government\u2019s definition of marriage from \u201conly a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife\u201d to also include same-sex couples legally married in the states where they live.
