And could <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freep.com\/article\/20120709\/NEWS05\/120709030\/speedway-washtenaw-county-sheriff-s-office-robbery-cashier\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">all convenience store robberies<\/a> be averted with a little firmness on the part of the cashier?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although not all Americans agree on the best way to tackle immigration reform, there is a consensus of opinion that it falls under the purview of the federal government, rather than the states. Needless to say, however, there are an awful lot of voters who don\u2019t seem all that jazzed about the coming election.<\/p>\n<p>I can personally attest that Bagan, a vast, dusty plain full of centuries-old temples in various states of disrepair, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/07\/10\/science\/gateway-to-myanmars-past-and-its-future.html?hpw\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">is a religious site<\/a> well worth visiting. But for those of you who don\u2019t want to trek all the way to Myanmar, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2012\/07\/10\/travel\/beautiful-religious-sites-us\/index.html?hpt=hp_c3\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">CNN has compiled<\/a> eight religious wonders right here in the lower 48 states.<\/p>\n<p>The Episcopal Church <a href=\"http:\/\/publicreligion.org\/2012\/07\/episcopal-church-approves-ordination-of-transgender-people\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">approved the ordination of transgender clergy<\/a>, in a move that is likely to resonate with most lay Episcopalians.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/security.blogs.cnn.com\/2012\/07\/10\/study-muslim-extremists-not-looking-for-world-domination\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">A new study of Muslim extremists texts reveals<\/a> that Muslims are not, in fact, seeking world domination. Instead, the study says, extremists are more concerned with protecting their faith from foreign intrusion. Nevertheless, Americans apply a double standard when evaluating violence committed in the name of a religious faith: More than 8-in-10 (83%) Americans say that those who commit violence in the name of Christianity are not truly Christian, while less than half (48%) of Americans<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/blogs\/figuring-faith\/post\/the-american-double-standard-on-religious-violence\/2011\/09\/10\/gIQAvClYHK_blog.html#pagebreak\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"> extend this same principle<\/a> to Muslims.<\/p>\n<p>The Bush dynasty may not be over yet. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2012\/07\/george-p-bush-a-political-dynastys-young-hope\/259640\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">George P.
