I can remember 13 years ago when we started homeschooling. I couldn\u2019t even picture my little baby growing up and going off to college. She was such a tiny bitty thing. There was no way she\u2019d be that big any time soon.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s funny how quickly the years have rushed past me. The tiny girl who did math with a tiara on her head so that her \u201cbrain would be sparkly\u201d is now a high school graduate. She finished all of her classes in December with a 3.96 GPA. She had been accepted to her first choice for college (The Jindal School of Business at the University of Texas at Dallas), and was waiting to hear about whether or not she had made it into the highly competitive Honors Business\u00a0 Program.<\/p>\n

She got the email last night. She\u2019s in!<\/p>\n

For those of you who are worried about college and wondering if your children will be able to get into the school and program of their choice \u2013 they can. It\u2019s entirely doable.<\/p>\n

If a slacker mom like me can get her kid ready, there\u2019s no reason that you can\u2019t do it too.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
