Welcome to my 7 AM theology lesson by my almost 9 year old. He makes my head hurt and makes me think in equal measure. I never thought of these things when I was a kid. Sister would say, \u201cJesus was fully God and fully human. This means he was perfect in every way.\u201d We all nodded our heads and agreed with her. She was the nun, we were the students. We also weren\u2019t as smart as my #2, I don\u2019t think.<\/p>\n
Does being God and being perfect mean that he always won games with the other kids, or that he had to hold back to let them win, or is it possible that his chubby little legs weren\u2019t quite as fast as the longer, leaner legs of the boy next door? Are slower feet an imperfection and therefore impossible in God\u2019s son? I know he would be a gracious winner, but would he always be<\/span> the winner? <\/p>\n Would being able to beat God in a foot race lead to overbearing pride or be a story for an old man to tell as he sat by the fire with his grandchildren? \u201cYeah, turns out Joseph\u2019s boy did some amazing things in his life, but there was a day when your old grandpa was just a hair faster over smooth ground.\u201d<\/p>\n People always say things about how they could never homeschool because they could never teach their kids all they need to know. I agree.
