This weekend, James Carville, he of the shiny head and squinty eyes, hinted on Anderson Cooper 360<\/a> that there would be riots if Obama loses. Are you trying to scare us Mr. Carville? Or is this supposed to in some way entice us into voting Democrat?<\/p>\n

Vote Obama or \u2026face riots. And we all know that racial riots, think LA here, do not end nicely for white people. <\/p>\n

Does he think I\u2019m afraid? That fear of rioting would make me vote for a Marxist like Obama? Not this Oklahoma girl.<\/p>\n

What bothers me the most about Mr. Carville\u2019s prediction is that nobody on the show batted an eye. The general consensus was of course the black populace would riot if Obama lost, as if they\u2019d known that for a long time.<\/p>\n

Who are these people and where did they get the idea that the African-American segment of our country will behave like spoiled children denied a toy? If you want to see the modern face of racism, here it is. Are you shocked that these racists all have a capital \u201cD\u201d after their names? I\u2019m not.<\/p>\n

These are the same people who think we need to fund voter registration programs like ACORN (don\u2019t even get me started there) because the poor minorities are either too dumb or too lazy to get and fill out the forms themselves. We need to help the poor dears.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s try assuming that we\u2019re all grown ups. Is that okay with you, James? Let\u2019s assume that we all understand that sometimes the person we want to win an election won\u2019t. That we know that good people may disagree with us. That as much as we\u2019d like the definitive say-so, we know we don\u2019t have it and that we\u2019ve accepted the possibility of losing. It\u2019s the wonder of living in a democratic system, i.e. everyone has a chance to vote his own opinion.<\/p>\n

Stop trying to scare me, James. I happen to think that there are still grown-ups living in this country and that we\u2019re mature enough to accept what happens in November without violence and destruction. Besides, I don\u2019t scare easy.<\/p>\n

Just in case Mr Carville is unfortunately right,I have a Public Service Announcement: That kind of behavior may fly after a Superbowl win in the north-east, but it doesn\u2019t work that way in Oklahoma. We don\u2019t take kindly to sore losers. We don\u2019t take kindly to threats or bullies, and we will protect ourselves and our property.
