Pretty soon, a well-dressed Boston banker sat next to him. A few minutes later the banker said, \u201cYou look like an intelligent sort. I\u2019ll tell you what. Since we have to spend some time together, let\u2019s play a game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The farmer replied, \u201cWhat kind of game do you have in mind?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell,\u201d said the banker, \u201cone of us will ask the other a question. If the other fella can\u2019t answer it, then he pays a dollar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The farmer thought for a minute and then replied, \u201cThat doesn\u2019t sound fair to me. You are college-educated and live in Boston. I only attended grammar school and live on a small dairy farm. If I ask you a question and you can\u2019t answer, you pay me a dollar. If you ask me a question and I come up short, I\u2019ll pay you 50 cents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The banker agreed and asked the farmer to pose a question.<\/p>\n<p>The farmer started right out, \u201cWhat has three legs and can fly?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The banker looked a bit surprised, thought for a minute, scratched his head, and said, \u201cI have no idea. Here\u2019s your dollar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The farmer then said, \u201cOK, now it\u2019s your turn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The banker looked straight at the farmer and asked, \u201cWell, what is it that has three legs and can fly?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The farmer shot back, \u201cDamned if I know.
