The following story was written by my 8 year old. His assignment was to write a short story containing the words: Katie Thompson, Adam Wilson, wallet, five dollars, reward, and found. Here\u2019s what he came up with:<\/p>\n
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Katie Thompson. She went to see her friend Sadie. She found five dollars and then she hollered, \u201cDollar!\u201d<\/p>\n
So, when they went into the woods, Sadie kept singing, \u201cDollar, dollar.\u201d They found a bunch of lunch. Then they saw a boy named Adam Wilson. When he whistled he heard a snap in the thistle.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is just a squirrel,\u201d said Adam .<\/p>\n
\u201cI have a wallet,\u201d said the squirrel.<\/p>\n
Adam said, \u201cGive it back.\u201d<\/p>\n
The squirrel said, \u201cNo.\u201d So he smacked him. The squirrel said okay, so Adam gave him a reward, violets.<\/p>\n
Katie gave the violets to the gift shop owner.<\/p>\n
\u201cBluebirds!\u201d said Sadie.<\/p>\n
\u201cUh-oh,\u201d said Adam, \u201crain on Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n
The power went out that afternoon, they slept by the fire.<\/p>\n
