My husband is out of town tonight for work. At bedtime, my four year old son dragged his pillow and blanket downstairs to my room and climbed up into my bed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sleeping with you so that you don\u2019t get lonely or scared,\u201d he told me matter-of-factly, and then busied himself with placing himself and his blankets just so.<\/p>\n
When he was settled, he said \u201cGood night, Mom, I love you\u2026.and just so you know, I brushed my teeth before I came down here because I didn\u2019t think you\u2019d want a guy with dragon breath in your bed.\u201d<\/p>\n
And you know what? He\u2019s right. I really wouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
