I don\u2019t know how familiar you are with them, but sheep aren\u2019t all that bright. In fact, they\u2019re pretty stupid and they can smell pretty bad especially if you get them wet. They\u2019re also pretty docile, and tend to go along faithfully to wherever the shepherd leads them.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Goats, on the other hand, are clever but destructive. They will chew up and destroy everything in their path without much thought. They\u2019re smarter than is probably good for them, and can get into all kinds of mischief if they\u2019re not protected from themselves.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Know what Texans use to protect flocks from the outside world that wants to devour them?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jackasses.<\/p>\n
They might look plodding, harmless, and kind of goofy, but I hear tell that they\u2019re hell in a fight. They\u2019re well known for stomping to death any\u00a0 predators threatening their flocks.<\/p>\n
Remember these guys the next time that you\u2019re complaining about the guys our own<\/em> shepherd has put in charge of his <\/em>flock, and feel tempted, even for a moment, to call them\u2026well\u2026jackasses. It could be that you\u2019re right.\u00a0 That might be exactly who they are.
