<\/p>\nWhat if something huge happened, something so monumental that it would literally change the entire course of your family\u2019s lives, something that would fundamentally redefine how you lived\u2026and you completely missed it? What if you thought so little of what had happened that you didn\u2019t even bother to Facebook, tweet, blog, or email about it? How is such a thing even possible? I don\u2019t even know, but it happened to us.<\/p>\n
I was trying to write a post yesterday about the one year anniversary of the day Ella started to lose the strength in her legs, and thought I\u2019d go see what I wrote about it then. Turns out that I didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
I wrote nothing except an aside in a text message conversation with a friend. I said, \u201cElla just said, \u2018Mom, my legs feel really tired.\u2019 What does that even mean? LOL\u201d To which my friend answered, \u201cNo clue. Kids are weird.\u201d<\/p>\n
And just like that we went back to talking about Easter plans and our insane relatives.* I can\u2019t find any thought of what was looming nightmare for at least three more days. The monster was already in our house\u2026and we completely missed that it was here.<\/p>\n
