#4 has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.<\/p>\n
We saw a nationally recognized expert this morning.\u00a0 She was kind and knowledgeable. Unlike all the other doctors we have seen up to this point, she knew what was going on the moment she saw our girl.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has a sausage toe,\u201d she said.\u00a0 Then, turning to her medical student, she pronounced, \u201cThat\u2019s classic of psoriatic arthritis.\u201d\u00a0 I liked her no nonsense style.\u00a0 She wasn\u2019t overly blunt, but she didn\u2019t try to soften anything either.\u00a0 (I find that reassuring.)\u00a0 She also showed us that it had spread from 2 joints to 4. (Darn it.)<\/p>\n
#4 is going to need a weekly injection to try and manage her disease.\u00a0 (There is not a cure, only management.)\u00a0 Someone is going to have to give her that shot here at home. (One, two, three..NOT IT!)<\/p>\n
That\u2019s it for today.\u00a0 Through the grace of God, she was able to be seen a week early by the most knowledgeable person who could see her.\u00a0 There is a plan.\u00a0 It\u2019s not a fun plan, but it is a plan.\u00a0 Hopefully within three weeks, it should begin to work.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
