\u00a0**I started one post and my mind started wandering, so I wrote it all down.\u00a0 This is the way I think all the time.\u00a0 Welcome to 8 minutes inside my ADD brain. This is how it thinks to be me\u2026.**<\/span><\/p>\n This evening I\u2019m curled up in my beloved husband\u2019s favorite chair as he stretches out on the couch.\u00a0 Our sweet #7 is draped across my arm and dozing.\u00a0 I keep thinking that she has at last fallen asleep and I should put her to bed, and then she will peek at me from one eye, smile, and doze off again.\u00a0 I\u2019m such a sucker for those grins that they keep me holding her just a bit longer.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a strange feeling to be someone\u2019s security, as though I were some sort of super hero, although of course I\u2019m not.\u00a0 (This is where my brain went off track.)<\/span>\u00a0 It sure would be fun to be though, wouldn\u2019t it?\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t want to fly, of course.\u00a0 I\u2019m terrified of heights.\u00a0 It might be more honest to say I\u2019m terrified of falling.\u00a0 Do\u00a0 you think you could fear heights if you could fly and falling weren\u2019t really an issue?<\/p>\n I think I\u2019ll call this post \u201crambling\u201d because that\u2019s what my mind is doing tonight.\u00a0 It\u2019s a strange word isn\u2019t it?\u00a0 Rambling.\u00a0 I wonder where it comes from.<\/p>\n The Computer Guy is up now and folding laundery.\u00a0 Hmmmmm\u2026laundry doesn\u2019t have an e.\u00a0 I wish he could learn to sit still and be quiet, but he\u2019s learned to be constantly up and going.\u00a0 I envy him that sometimes.\u00a0 I can sit for hours without moving.\u00a0 My mind is never still though.\u00a0 I wish I could burn calories by thinking.\u00a0 I\u2019d be stick\u00a0 thin.\u00a0 Instead I can sit for hours but love to eat.\u00a0 Love.<\/p>\n I\u2019m obsessed right now with baked apples with cinnamon and butter, and also with sweet potatoes.\u00a0 Also loaded with butter.\u00a0 Maybe I\u2019m just obsessed with butter.\u00a0 Is there anything closer to heaven than hot melty butter?\u00a0 I wonder how many religious people I offended by my saying that.\u00a0 That butter was like heaven.\u00a0 It is.\u00a0 I\u2019m tired of worrying about offending people.\u00a0 I deleted that heaven thing once already to avoid holier-than-thou comments.\u00a0 I\u2019m tired of \u201creligious\u201d people with no sense of humor.\u00a0 If they can\u2019t laugh they should just be up front and honest about it.\u00a0 Do you think Heaven is full of people who never laugh?\u00a0 Would you want to go there if it was?\u00a0 Should that be were?\u00a0 If it were?\u00a0 I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Now the grammar nazis will come for me.\u00a0 Is the word nazi losing its meaning because we use it so much?<\/p>\n Do Germans get offended by that \u201cn\u201d word the way Black people do by theirs?\u00a0 Do they call it the \u201cn\u201d word? How does it become less offensive to refer to it by letter than to just say it?\u00a0 People still know what word you mean.\u00a0 Maybe we should just use a different letter like \u201cb\u201d.\u00a0 No wait. There\u2019s already a \u201cb\u201d word and it\u2019s not very nice either.\u00a0 Not as bad as \u201cn\u201d.\u00a0 Do the letters mean worse things the further you go down the alphabet?\u00a0 What could \u201cx\u201d be?\u00a0 There should be more \u201cx\u201d words.\u00a0 That part of the dictionary is too skinny.\u00a0 It\u2019s not fair.\u00a0 Look how much space \u201cr\u201d takes up.<\/p>\n The dishwasher is really loud tonight.\u00a0 Why should it sound louder tonight than this morning?\u00a0 What kind of people run the dishwasher so many times a day?\u00a0 Lucky people.\u00a0 We could be washing them by hand.\u00a0 I actually prefer by hand.\u00a0 I think they get cleaner, but the Computer Guy disagrees.\u00a0 He thinks the hot water in the machine is better than that in the sink.\u00a0 Do you think that\u2019s possible?<\/p>\n The baby is peeking and smiling again which is I think where I began.\u00a0 Baby smiles and super heroes.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think I\u2019d want one.\u00a0 A super power seems like more trouble than it\u2019s worth.\u00a0 Like mind reading\u2026do you really want to know everything people are thinking?\u00a0 Everything?\u00a0 Like if they can see that chin hair you didn\u2019t pluck?\u00a0 Not me.\u00a0 I\u2019d like to be able to think in a straight line, but not all the time.\u00a0 Just think how many thoughts I wouldn\u2019t think.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" \u00a0**I started one post and my mind started wandering, so I wrote it all down.\u00a0 This is the way I think all the time.\u00a0 Welcome to 8 minutes inside my ADD brain.
