Because my life isn\u2019t interesting enough for seven on Friday with Jen, and because I count LarryD among my close friends.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

1. The Computer Guy wass hunting this week in West Texas in a remote area with no cell phone access, so of course this is the moment when our 4 year old trips over a toy an whacks his head on the wall splitting it open.<\/p>\n

Head wounds bleed. A lot.\u00a0 I\u2019d heard that, but didn\u2019t understand the truth of it until I saw my son with blood dripping from his ear and soaking his sweater.\u00a0 The wall upstairs looked like a murder scene, and #5 definitely looked like the victim.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m proud of my ability to hold it together in front of children who lose it a bit at the sight of blood, and even to be cool as I held #5 as the doctor stapled his head back together.<\/p>\n

My husband is no longer allowed to leave me alone with the children.\u00a0 This was definitely a \u201cdad thing\u201d.\u00a0 War wounds and blood should be left to the men.\u00a0 Is it sexist?\u00a0 Yes, but in this case I don\u2019t mind being the fairer sex.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 I\u2019ve discovered that I can not be trusted with the Christmas cookies for longer than a 48 hour period.\u00a0 I love them too much for that.\u00a0 My post-baby weight loss has definitely taken a hit in the last week.\u00a0 I need to find people who need cookies so that I can get these things out of my house.<\/p>\n

3. I left the planning of #7\u2019s Baptism gown up to my mother in law.\u00a0 She never got to dress a baby girl and was so excited to get to plan it all.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to see what she comes up with.\u00a0 It will be completely different from what I would have chosen, but even more special because of that.\u00a0 I\u2019ll keep you posted.<\/p>\n

3.5\u00a0 I really want to like Newt Gingrich as a presidential candidate.\u00a0 I would be delighted to have him for a dinner guest as I\u2019m sure he\u2019s fascinating.\u00a0 (He\u2019s one of my favorite authors.)
