I\u2019ve been too busy to post this week, you\u2019ll see why.<\/p>\n

The kids got a stomach bug this week.\u00a0 They\u2019ve taken turns puking since Tuesday night.\u00a0 I really hate puke, especially milk puke.<\/p>\n

Worse than cleaning after the kids was when it hit me.\u00a0 The only thing worse that cleaning up sick is having to clean up after yourself.\u00a0 There are days when I hate being the grown-up.<\/p>\n

I joined the ranks of elite Catholic nerd-dom this week by joining LarryD et al. in the season of Fantasy Bish-ball.\u00a0 It\u2019s like Fantasy Baseball except with Bishops instead of players.\u00a0 We get points for everything orthodox they say\/do publicly.\u00a0 My team is the Heresy Hunters made up of Bishops Aquila and Slattery and Gracida, the Bishop Emeritus of Corpus Christi.<\/p>\n

Bishop Gracida has a blog<\/a>, and if you\u2019re not reading it already, you should.\u00a0 It\u2019s funny and insightful and he says things no other bishops are saying.\u00a0 Things like \u201cGo Heresy Hunters! Here\u2019s wishing the Heresy Hunters a good Bish-Ball season!\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right!\u00a0 I got a Bishop to publicly use the term \u201cBish-ball\u201d.<\/a>\u00a0 It was sadly a very proud moment in my life.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think you\u2019re properly appreciating the seriousness of that statement, so I\u2019ll say it again.<\/p>\n

I took the at home Gender Prediction Test by Intelligender this morning.<\/span><\/span>
Actually I took the test 4 days ago, but apparently sex, drugs or rock-and-roll within 48 hours before you<\/span><\/span>
take the test invalidate the results.\u00a0 Who knew?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So\u2026ahem\u2026I had to retake it this morning.\u00a0 I have pictures, but just puked half an hour ago and don\u2019t feel like going to find the camera and its cord so I\u2019ll describe it to you. (You don\u2019t really want to see a bottle full of my pee anyway, do you?)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You have to use the first morning pee, so that was at 4:30 this morning. ( I\u2019m pregnant, I have to pee in the middle of the night.)\u00a0 I had to pee in a cup, draw it up into a syringe and then put it into the test bottle through a teeny little hole.\u00a0 That\u2019s impressive work at 4:30AM, let me tell you.\u00a0 Then I had to twist, not shake, the bottle for 10 seconds BUT NOT LONGER!, and then wait 10 minutes, BUT NOT LONGER for results. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Boy turns green, girl stays yellow or turns orange-ish.\u00a0 Let me just say that normally I know my colors, I did extremely well in Kindergarten thank you, but this morning, I kept turning the bottle and looking at the two colored stickers they provided for comparison. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t want to turn on the bright lights, it was early<\/i> y\u2019all,\u00a0 so I stood in the semi-gloom of the bathroom and said out loud, \u201cIs it yellow?\u00a0 Is it green? Is it yellow?\u00a0 Is\u2026\u201d I finally had the realization that I should have peed in the cup at 4:30 and filled the bottle at a normal hour like 8-ish.\u00a0 (Although, is<\/i> there a normal time to be playing with pee?\u00a0 Really?) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I finally woke my poor husband at 5AM to tell him that we\u2019re having a boy, I think, but his wife might just be color blind, so I\u2019m just guessing here.\u00a0 I think it was green in the semi-gloom of my 4-5AM bathroom.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My thoughts on the whole thing?\u00a0 They gave it to me to try and blog about.\u00a0 It was free, so that made it fun-ish.\u00a0 It would be a great pregnancy funny gift, but at $39 a pop, it\u2019s a bit pricy for that.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re dying to know, or completely impatient, go ahead and try it.\u00a0 It\u2019s supposed to be 90% accurate if it\u2019s light enough in the room to actually see the color.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I won\u2019t be doing it again.\u00a0 I\u2019ll wait 9 or so weeks for an ultrasound to confirm it all for me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s what I\u2019ve been up to this week:\u00a0 cleaning puke, stalking bishops, preparing to move, and playing with pee\u2026\u2026oh, yeah, and it looks like another boy around here.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
