Can I admit a little something here since it\u2019s just us?\u00a0 This whole move thing is beginning to freak me out.\u00a0 We found a great house (3400 sq ft, 5 beds, 3 1\/2 baths) in the area we want.\u00a0 We have a move-in date, June 1.\u00a0 I\u2019m trying to be calm, but it\u2019s a lie\u2026..A BIG FAT STINKIN\u201d LIE!<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the thing\u2026.I just spent the last half hour on the phone with my friend, Peace.\u00a0 We were talking about fun things like how purple streaks are sooooo last summer and we really think that that feathers (the bird kind not Farrah\u2019s) might be fun this year.\u00a0 That\u2019s when it hit me\u2026.I don\u2019t have a \u201cgetting a feather weave would rock\u201d person in Dallas.\u00a0 I think that kind of girl might be hard to find.\u00a0 I mean, Peace and I are both moms of 7 and yet cool enough for funky jewelry and wild hair.\u00a0\u00a0 My friend S has no qualms about leaving husbands and\/or teenagers in charge to sneak off for a Sunday afternoon pedicure.\u00a0 My neighbor K throws the best parties I\u2019ve been to since college\u2026\u2026do you think friends like this are everywhere?\u00a0 They\u2019re not.\u00a0 They took me years to find and cultivate into my go to girls.<\/p>\n
I have emails from the homeschool group in our area of Texas.\u00a0 They all seem so nice\u2026..that can be a problem\u2026.nice.\u00a0 I\u2019m snarky, sarcastic, and have a bit of an off-color sense of humor.\u00a0 I love a good dirty joke.\u00a0 I really do.<\/p>\n
We went to the Catholic Church near the new house, and there wasn\u2019t a lot of\u00a0 fabulous<\/span><\/i><\/span> going on there. (I want to add glitter to that but can\u2019t\u2026will you just imagine it there?\u00a0 Thanks.)\u00a0 I\u2019m afraid of arriving in a land of really nice but kinda boring women.
