I spoke with my Mother-in-Law yesterday.\u00a0 It was an easy and meandering chat about life and the children.\u00a0 We both laughed a lot and caught up on each other\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

She said to me, \u201cI love how you can find the fun in anything.\u00a0 You look at the most normal and boring thing and find the beauty in it.\u00a0 That\u2019s one of my favorite things about talking to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

I agreed with her; I\u2019m a pretty \u201clife is wonderful fun\u201d kind of person.<\/p>\n

My dear friend Peace<\/a> puts it so well.\u00a0 (I\u2019m totally ripping her off here, I\u2019m just letting you know that right now.)<\/p>\n

If you were in a desert and saw a buzzard circling overhead, you\u2019d know what he was doing.\u00a0 He\u2019d be looking for death and decay.\u00a0 If you saw a hummingbird in the desert, you\u2019d know he was looking for beauty and life.<\/div>\n

The thing is, the buzzard will always find death and corruption.\u00a0 It\u2019s what he\u2019s seeking.\u00a0 Whereas, the hummingbird will always find beauty and life because it\u2019s what he\u2019s looking for.<\/div>\n

People are no different.\u00a0 We will always find what we seek.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I think most moms of big families are hummingbirds.\u00a0 That\u2019s the wonderful gift of our lives. We have learned to find the beauty in the desert.<\/p>\n
